Pokemon is one of the most popular brands in the world, and it’s no surprise why: they offer an excellent range of merch to appeal to all ages. From plush toys to branded merchandise, there’s something for everyone. But if you don’t live near a Pokemon store, you’re in luck: London will soon be home to its very own pop-up Pokemon shop!
The Pokemon Company is bringing its Pokemon Center Pop-Up Store to London this weekend, as part of the EUIC event at ExCeL. The store will be open from 17th until 21st August, and will be the biggest pop-up featured at a Pokemon World Championships event yet!
As well as offering new product lines and photo opportunities, this Pokemon Store will also feature exclusive World Championships merch. Fans will be able to reserve their time slot through The Pokemon Company’s website, although you don’t need to be attending the European International Championships to visit.
During last year’s World Championships, the Pokemon Company ran a temporary pop-up store for fans. It was incredibly popular, and the queues for entry were huge. The store had to shorten its opening hours and impose purchase limits in order to deal with the overwhelming demand.
This year, however, they decided to try something different: a virtual queuing system. The idea is that if you book your time slot ahead of time, then you’ll be able to avoid the crowds and get inside faster.
Unfortunately, this system seems to have worked incredibly badly: people were queuing for hours, and some were even denied entry because they didn’t reserve their spot in advance! The Pokemon Company said it had to make adjustments to the virtual queue system to prevent this from happening again.
After the initial rush, it was clear that many of the most desired items had sold out. This included bowler hat Pikachu plushies, the limited-edition Pokemon Sword and Shield playmat, the exclusive Pin Badge, and other exclusives.
While these things were selling out, there were still plenty of other items to choose from. You could pick up a backpack emblazoned with all three of the Galarian starter Pokemon from Pokemon Sword and Shield: Scorbunny, Grookey, and Sobble. There were also plenty of posters, mugs, and key chains to browse.
If you’re a fan of the Pokemon franchise, then you know how exciting it is to see your favorite characters in person. The Pokemon Shop is the first of its kind in Europe, and it’s a rare opportunity for fans to buy Pokemon merchandise in person.
Aside from the exclusives, you can also find a wide range of Pokemon products in the store, including clothes, bags, and tees. There are also a few Pokemon-themed restaurants and bars, as well as a few other stores for you to explore.
The Pokemon Shop will be located in Westfield Shepherd’s Bush, which is situated in White City, London. The shopping centre is easily accessible by public transport, and can be reached using various bus, tube, and rail links. Pokemon Shop London
